  • About Us

Hartford Funds Distributors, LLC (HFD), and our ultimate parent company, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (“The Hartford”) and its subsidiaries, have developed business continuity plans to respond to events that significantly disrupt our business.

Business Continuity Planning

After a significant business disruption, our goal is to recover and resume business operations as quickly as possible while safeguarding our employees and property, protecting the firms’ books and records, and allowing our customers to continue to transact business. In short, our business continuity plans are designed to permit our firms to resume operations as quickly as possible, given the scope and severity of the significant business disruption.

As such, our business continuity strategy addresses data backup and recovery of mission critical systems, processing in alternate operational facilities until primary facilities are operational; finding alternative methods to communicate with customers, employees and regulators; providing an alternate physical location for our employees, which may include work from home solutions, and rerouting telecommunications to alternate facilities.

Varying Disruptions

Significant business disruptions can vary in terms of their physical scope – some may be small enough to impact our firm or a piece of our firm, while others may be large enough to impact the whole business district, city or region where our firm is located. The severity of a disruption can vary from minimal to severe. In any disruption to our firm or to a building housing our firm, our goal is to recover and resume business by transferring our operations to locations outside of the affected area. In either situation, our plan is to continue our business operations. If the business disruption is so severe that it prevents us from remaining in business, we will provide customers with alternative means to gain prompt access to their funds and securities.
