Hartford Funds Appoints Brian Kraus Head of Investment Consulting and Internal Sales

Hartford Funds today announced that Brian Kraus has been appointed Head of Investment Consulting and Internal Sales.


In this newly created role, Kraus will lead Hartford Funds’ internal sales desk, while continuing to run the investment consulting team. He will report to Hartford Funds’ Chief Marketing Officer, Martin Swanson, and is based in the firm’s Wayne, PA headquarters.

“I am confident that Brian’s breadth of experience and strategic mindset will further elevate the internal sales desk and position us to continue growing our business,” said Swanson. “As a seasoned investment professional, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role and I look forward to Brian’s contributions to Hartford Funds’ sales and consulting teams.

Kraus joined Hartford Funds in 2015 as a Senior Investment Consultant. In 2017, he assumed leadership of the investment consulting team, responsible for supporting Hartford Funds’ investment capabilities and entire investment lineup. Prior to joining Hartford Funds, Kraus served as Managing Director and Head of Financial Intermediaries at BNY Mellon’s Manager Research Group. Kraus also spent more than six years at Lockwood Advisors, Inc., holding the positions of Director of Investments and Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager.
