Craig A. Gainey, CFA, a fixed income credit analyst in Fixed Income Research, is responsible for the analysis of investment-grade bond issues in global beverage, global tobacco, global media and entertainment, and cable. He is the team leader of the Investment Grade and Structured Credit analyst teams, and he is actively engaged in recruiting and mentoring efforts within Credit Research. In addition, he is a spokesperson for Wellington Management’s credit efforts to external and internal constituents, facilitating cross-fertilization of best investment ideas and practices for client portfolios. He also participates in the ongoing bond review process, determining where to invest within the fixed income universe and assessing the creditworthiness of individual issues within his sectors.
Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Craig spent two years at Putnam Investments as a performance measurement analyst (1992 – 1994).
Craig received his MS, with a concentration in finance, from Boston College (Carroll, 1994) and his BS, magna cum laude, from Bryant University (1991). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
