John A. Boselli, CFA, Senior Managing Director and Equity Portfolio Manager, is a portfolio manager for the Hartford International Growth Fund. John is responsible for managing European, international, and global growth portfolios for institutional and mutual fund investors worldwide. He draws on research provided by the firm’s global industry analysts and other Global Equity Income resources within the firm.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002, John spent six years working for Putnam Investments Inc. as a managing director in the Global Equity Research Group (1996 – 2002). During his time as an equity research analyst at Putnam, he covered various sectors, including industrials, telecom, IT, and the consumer sectors. John has been quoted for his research by such industry-renowned publications as Reuters and Barron’s.
Prior to Putnam Investments, John worked as a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (1988 – 1996). He also spent time at Western Geophysical International, Inc. as a geophysical engineer (1985 – 1987).
John received his MBA, with a concentration in finance, from DePaul University (1989) and his BS in geophysical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines (1985). In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
