Background

John V. Schneider, CFA, is an equity research analyst in Global Equity Portfolio Management on the Small Company team. John conducts fundamental analysis on small- and mid-cap global equity investments, focusing on the consumer discretionary, industrials, and materials sectors. His research supports the investment decision making for a range of portfolios managed for clients of the firm. He works in our Boston office.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in June 2016, John worked as a portfolio manager and equity research analyst specializing in the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors at Granahan Investment Management (2006 – 2016). Prior to Granahan, he conducted generalist research on small- and mid-cap securities as an equity research analyst at MFS Investment Management (2000 – 2006). John began his investment career as an investment banking analyst with Adams, Harkness & Hill, Inc. (1998 – 2000).

John earned his AB from Dartmouth College (1996). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.
