Michael E. Stack, CFA

Senior Managing Director at Wellington Management, Fixed Income Portfolio Manager



Michael E. Stack, CFA,  Senior Managing Director and Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager, is a portfolio manager for the Hartford Multi-Asset Income Fund and the Harford Balanced HLS Fund. Mike is a portfolio manager on the Financial Reserves Team. He is responsible for managing portfolios for clients with customized risk and return objectives often related to accounting and/or regulatory constraints, such as insurance clients, pensions and other financial institutions.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2000 as a portfolio manager, Mike worked as core bond portfolio manager at State Street Global Advisors (1998 – 2000). Additionally, Mike worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as the senior vice president of the Government Arbitrage Group (1996 – 1997) and at Met Life Investment Management Corporation, where he was a portfolio manager (1994 – 1996).

Mike received a BA in economics from the University of Virginia (1981). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
