The year 2022 brought no shortage of macroeconomic developments: Russia’s war in Ukraine, inflation persisting at multi-decade highs, and the US Federal Reserve (Fed) implementing tighter monetary policies, fueling fears of a recession. Against this highly volatile market environment and macro uncertainty, value stocks have strongly outperformed their growth peers after lagging for the better part of the past decade.
