John D. Diehl, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®
Senior Vice President, Strategic Markets
John and his team are responsible for engaging and educating financial advisors and their clients about current and emerging opportunities in the financial-services marketplace.
He has been widely quoted in consumer and trade publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Planning, and On Wall Street. He has also appeared as a featured guest on CNBC and Bloomberg Television to discuss his views on retirement-related topics.
John also oversees Hartford Funds’ relationship with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology AgeLab. He joined the company in 1991.
Dr. Joe Coughlin
Founder & Director
Joseph F. Coughlin, PhD, is founder and director of the MIT AgeLab. His research focuses on how the convergence of baby-boomer expectations and technology will drive innovation in business and government. He teaches strategic management and public policy in MIT’s Engineering Systems Division, and speaks, consults, and collaborates with governments and businesses worldwide.
Dr. Coughlin is a regular contributor to Bank Investment Consultant, The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and MarketWatch, and produces the online publication Disruptive Demographics on BigThink.com.
Vice President, Strategic Markets
Mike is responsible for engaging and educating financial advisors and clients alike. He possesses extensive knowledge of estate and retirement planning, and provides thought leadership and financial education focused on retirement and small-business planning. Mike joined the company in 1993.
Director, Strategic Markets
Bill helps educate financial advisors and their clients about in areas such as retirement-income planning, investment planning, and charitable planning, as well as anticipating and preparing for long-term demographic and lifestyle changes. Bill joined the company in 2003.
Red Rock Strategic Partners
Matt has built a company that serves two distinct markets. The first is advising financial advisors on strategy and execution to achieve organic growth targets. The second is helping middle-market, privately held businesses around the country address the issues that they face growing their business, managing their financial lives today and in the future, and preparing for the succession and transition of their businesses.
