Chief Marketing Officer
Marty Swanson is the chief marketing officer for Hartford Funds. In this role, he oversees all digital marketing, content creation, and brand development initiatives, as well as manages internal sales, with the ultimate goal of engaging financial advisors to drive deeper brand relationships and sales for Hartford Funds.
Previously, Marty served in a variety of senior marketing roles within The Hartford, running marketing and internal sales for the firm’s corporate, government, and non-profit retirement plan businesses. He also oversaw marketing for the firm’s variable annuity business.
Prior to joining The Hartford in 1998, he served in various senior roles at PaineWebber, Inc. including product marketing, sales management, and strategic planning. Marty is a graduate of Lafayette College and the SIA Management Program at the Wharton School of Business.
