DEFINITIONS OF TERMS USED ON THIS SITE
Personal Information: Any information that can identify a specific individual.
Aggregate Information: Any information that does not allow us to identify a specific individual. Examples include demographic information, areas visited on the Site or what browser was used to access the Site.
Cookie: Electronic files that your web browser places on your hard drive to retain information relating to visits to and use of a website. Although they allow you to visit the Site more efficiently, they may be disengaged by changing your browser properties.
Pixel Tags: An electronic image, often a single-pixel (1x1), which is ordinarily not visible to Site visitors and may be associated with cookies on the visitors' hard drives.
Internet Protocol Address: An address identifying number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider.
TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Investors and Financial Advisors
Your email address. We collect your email address when you establish an on-line profile and register for access to certain sections of our website. We may also receive your email address if you provide it to us on an application or by phone. We may contact you by email about a website related issue, in response to something you requested or to communicate about our products or services.
If you no longer wish to receive email about products/services, use the opt-out link at the bottom of the email.
All Visitors to our Site
Survey information. Occasionally we may ask you to participate in a brief survey to help us make smart choices as we look for ways to improve the site. If you choose to participate, information you provide won’t be identified with you personally.
Personal data entered in calculators. When you use calculators and planning tools on the site, you may need to enter information such as your age or even certain dollar amounts like how much you save each month. We don’t collect or store this kind of information. It’s only used to perform the calculation you’re asking for.
We do not permit other parties to collect identifying information about visitors to our site. We do not look for Web browser “do not track” requests. We collect various types of voluntarily provided personal information from visitors to the Site. This includes such information as:
- Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and other application information and in some instances social security numbers and birthdates
- If you apply for a job with us or register with our career center, we may store your password and a hint as well as information about your work and educational history.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use personal information provided by individuals who visit our Site to fulfill the purpose for which the visitor provided the information, such as:

- Sending you information we think may be of interest to you

Hartford Funds Management Company, LLC (“HFMC”), the mutual funds’ investment adviser, is an indirect subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (the “Hartford”). In the event there is a change in the corporate structure of The Hartford, such as a merger, consolidation, sale, liquidation or transfer of substantial assets, The Hartford may, in its sole discretion, transfer, sell or assign information collected on and through this Site, including personal information about you, to one or more affiliated or nonaffiliated third parties.
OTHER TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
We may gather and store aggregate information about visitors. The collection of this aggregate information enables us to measure the number of visitors to various portions of the Site, diagnose problems with our server, administer the Site and track visitor activity. We will use this aggregate information to learn more about what you and our customers are expecting from our services, and tailor and improve the Site. Because aggregate information collected on the Site does not personally identify you, we may use aggregate information for any purpose, and share aggregate information with third parties for any purpose. Below are ways we may collect this aggregate information:

- Pixel-tags also known as web beacons or clear GIF's or similar means. The data collected includes such anonymous information as what operating system and browser you use, how you navigate to and through our Site, how long you stay on our web pages, and when you open emails from us.
- Internet Protocol address which is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited. Collecting Internet Protocol addresses is standard practice on the Internet and is done automatically by many websites.
We and the third parties we partner with currently do not process or comply with any web browser's "do not track" signal or other similar mechanism that indicates a request to disable online tracking of individual users who visit our websites or use our services. Some of our third party service providers may collect personal information on users of our Site over time and across different websites when users are visiting our Site.
We also may use service providers to help us develop applications for your convenience, through your mobile device. These application service providers may use tracking pixels, agents or other visitor identification technology to collect certain non-personal information, such as your browser type, your operating system, and other information that does not identify you. The application service providers do not receive information that identifies you. These application service providers may collect unique device IDs including from mobile devices, mobile phone numbers, precise geo-location data, or call logs.
LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
Hartford Funds maintains profiles and/or pages on various social media sites including LinkedIn and Twitter. If you choose to “Follow” Hartford Funds on LinkedIn and/or Twitter, or take any similar action on another social media site, you are providing your consent to receive information updates from Hartford Funds. To stop receiving this information from Hartford Funds on a social media site, you must follow the procedure established by the site. For example, on LinkedIn and Twitter, you must click “Unfollow” on Hartford Fund’s profile.
OUR SECURITY PROCEDURES
We take reasonable precautions to safeguard the personal information transmitted between visitors and the Site and the personal information stored on our servers, and we require third parties with whom we share personal information to use reasonable precautions to safeguard such information. Unfortunately, no method of transmitting or storing data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, although we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to us through, or in connection with, the Site. WHERE HARTFORD FUNDS STORES AND MAINTAINS INFORMATION
SSN PROTECTION POLICY
We value your trust, and we are committed to the responsible protection of your Social Security number (“SSN”). This notice applies to any SSN that we collect I the course of our business. We protect the confidentiality of SSNs, including by maintaining manual and electronic security procedures to guard against unauthorized access to SSNs. We also limit access to SSNs, including by only granting access to SSNs to our employees who use that information to perform their job-related duties. In addition, we do not disclose SSNs to third parties, except where required or permitted by law.
