Vernon Meyer, CFA

Background

Vernon Meyer, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer of Hartford Funds. In this role, Mr. Meyer manages the investment advisory group, a team of more than 30 investment professionals responsible for portfolio oversight, investment product innovation and integrity, manager evaluation, selection, and ongoing due diligence for assets invested in Hartford mutual funds. Mr. Meyer also chairs the Investment Product Oversight committee and manages the Hartford Conservative Allocation Fund, Hartford Moderate Allocation Fund, Hartford Growth Allocation Fund, and Hartford Checks and Balances Fund.

Prior to joining the organization, he was associated with MassMutual where he developed and managed the MassMutual multi manager mutual funds and investment platforms. Mr. Meyer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics form Trinity College and a master’s of business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of the Hartford CFA Society and the CFA Institute. Mr. Meyer has also earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He has more than 30 years of professional investment experience.
