2 If you withdraw some or all of your funds from the Account before a contribution has been in the Account for 12 months, the Program Manager will charge you a CDSC equal to 1% of the amount of the withdrawal. If you leave your contribution in the Account for longer than 12 months, you will not be charged a CDSC.
*The Hartford SMART529 Plan also offers Class E which has no sales charge or CDSC. Class E is only available to certain investors. Please see Offering Statement for additional information.

Class C

Contributions allocated to the Class C that have been in an Account for at least four years, together with any earnings associated with those contributions, automatically transfer to the Class A the following month and the Account Owner will pay the fees associated with the Class A. Class A Fee is not subject to a CDSC. The Units that convert to Class A will not pay any Up-Front Sales Charge.
