Brad W. Libby
Managing Director at Wellington Management, Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager & Credit Analyst
Brad W. Libby, Managing Director and Fixed-Income Credit Analyst, is involved in portfolio management and securities analysis for the Hartford Municipal Opportunities Fund, the Hartford Municipal Short Duration Fund and the Hartford Sustainable Municipal Bond Fund. Brad is a fixed-income credit analyst specializing in municipal bonds. He covers the revenue bond sectors, including airports, ports, toll roads, housing, and tobacco. He also works as a Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager on the Financial Reserves Management Team, focusing on maximizing relative-value opportunities in the municipal bond portion of these portfolios.
Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2010, Brad spent 12 years at Putnam Investments, most recently as a portfolio manager in their Municipal Bond Department where he helped manage 11 open-end mutual funds and two closed-end funds (2006 – 2009). His other experience was as a member of the Fixed Income Credit Research Team at Putnam (1996 – 2006).
Brad earned his MBA from The University of Chicago (2001) and his BA in psychology, cum laude, from Middlebury College (1995). He is also a member of the Boston Municipal Analysts Society.
