Timothy E. Smith, Senior Managing Director and Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager, is the portfolio manager for the Hartford Short Duration Fund and Hartford Ultrashort Bond HLS Fund. Tim is a Fixed-Income Portfolio Manager specializing in short-duration investing, including money market, enhanced cash, LIBOR, and short-term bond portfolios. He is chair of the firm’s Short Duration Strategy Group and is a member of the Error Resolution Council and the Financial Reserves Management Team.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 1992 as a money market trader, Tim worked at Fidelity Investments (1985 – 1992).

Tim received both his MBA (1992) and BS (1985) from Babson College.
