Background

Joanna Wald is the head of research for the US Small & Smid Cap Equity Team at Schroders. Joanna is responsible for covering the consumer discretionary sector, along with select industries in producer durables and retail real-estate investment trusts. She joined Schroders in 2013 and is based in New York.

Prior to joining Schroders, Joanna was an analyst at Ballast Capital Management, where she focused on the consumer sector for a long/short US equity product. Before that, she was an analyst at Ramius Capital, where she worked on a US equity long/short portfolio. She also previously served as a senior analyst at Trivium Capital Management, where she worked on a long/short equity fund focusing on consumer stocks, and as an analyst at Century Capital Management, where she was responsible for covering healthcare and other business-services industries.
