5 Things About Dennis

1

To his wife Jennifer’s regret, Dennis takes his own peanut butter with him to diners in case they don’t have it. Their two sons don’t mind—they’re as passionate about peanut butter toast as their dad.

2

He is one of 40 first cousins on his dad’s side of the family. His mom is an only child.

3

Before entering the financial industry, Dennis worked as a bartender. One of the club’s regulars was Vanguard founder John Bogle, who suggested he consider a career in financial services. “At the time, I only knew John Bogle as a friendly club member,” Dennis recalls. “It wasn’t until later that I realized how influential he had been in the industry.”

During a fifth-grade field day, Dennis clinched 1st place in the 50-yard dash and high jump and also anchored a comeback win in the cross-country relay. Although it’s a cherished memory, he laments that he athletically peaked at the age of 11.

For the past 27 years, Dennis has always had a dog by his side. Currently, Lucy (a black Labrador) and Sadie (a Beabull) proudly hold the titles of Den’s Best Friends.
